December 2021:
An ecosystem simplifying the search and booking process of temporary housing in Switzerland
As years elapse, we see global mobility rapidly maturing. Gone are the days extensive services and aspects sweetening the transfer of the international workforce. The “global war for talent” is fluidifying the workforce, to temporarily deploy topic-based knowledge teams. The acceleration is decreasing the length of stays and elevating transferee engagement and autonomy.
Acknowledging the vast range of steps in a “relocation journey “, temporary housing is just a cogwheel in the clockwork of a relocation. Client-driven buying policies however demand a holistic and transparent acquisition approach, involving request initiation to multiple suppliers, ensuring time-critical replies, comparing offers, forwarding these for selection and finally arranging the booking.
The temporary housing ecosystem
Digital Nest is an ecosystem intersecting cost awareness and sourcing capabilities in temporary housing. The digital process integration reduces physical touchpoints for the participants and provides a structure to benchmark the product, place, and price. Despite the pandemic negatively impacting the ability to create awareness, over 180 companies, organizations and institutions have joined the platform to organize temporary housing in Switzerland. The past two years in beta phase provided the capacity to identify and gather key data for market publication as of 2022.
